The Log Cabin United Brethren was built in 1941 by many different people. After Reading in the book of Haggai in the Bible, they came across the verse "Go up to the hills and bring wood and build the house, that i may take pleasure in it..." leading the congregation to begin the construction of their place of service by retrieving logs from north of Mccall. During the construction, they dug the basement to hold services. The processing of the logs was done by hand, including the fitting, using a Scandinavian style. They dried, peeled and treated the logs on site.
